The original village · 1974
The Woodlands began here. Mature trees, varied architecture and quick access to I-45 make Grogan’s Mill a compelling choice for buyers who value character and convenience.
Central village · opened 1976
Wrapped around the western edge of Lake Woodlands, Panther Creek balances older-home charm with an easy route to Town Center, parks and waterfront recreation.
Heart of The Woodlands · opened 1983
Cochran’s Crossing sits near the geographic center of The Woodlands and is known for graceful streets, strong amenity access and homes spanning approachable to estate-scale.
Intimate village · opened 1984
One of the smaller villages, Indian Springs is prized for its naturally varied terrain, wooded setting and a tucked-away atmosphere that still keeps daily errands close.
Northwest village · opened 1994
Alden Bridge is one of the largest villages, with extensive pathways, parks and neighborhood variety. Its northern edge reaches toward the W.G. Jones State Forest.
Western village · opened 2000
Sterling Ridge blends traditional neighborhoods, newer sections and proximity to some of the community’s most prestigious golf and gated addresses.
Northern gateway · opened 1995
College Park combines residential neighborhoods with major educational, medical and employment anchors along the north side of The Woodlands.
Newest village · opened 2007
Located in Harris County, Creekside Park offers newer homes, village-green energy and exceptional nature access. It is the primary Woodlands village served by Tomball ISD.
Carlton Woods is The Woodlands’ best-known gated luxury community, with guarded entrances and Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio golf settings. Buyers also explore estate and luxury addresses in Grogan’s Point, East Shore and select gated enclaves across the villages. Access, fees and membership vary—ask for a current, property-specific comparison.

Schools & learning
Most Woodlands addresses are served by Conroe ISD. Creekside Park is primarily served by Tomball ISD, with neighborhood campuses including Creekside Forest, Creekview and Timber Creek elementary schools and Creekside Park Junior High.
